Goldens have a very laid-back personality, are smart, affectionate, athletic, yet silly and entertaining. Because a Golden aims to please it makes them easily trainable as long as expectations are clearly set.

goldens love and require daily exercise. this can be anything from taking walks, runs, hikes to playing ball, or just running around a safe yard.

Goldens do well in all types of housing situations big or small. while goldens love to cuddle and have down time, they do require being active. They can play for long periods of time and do need daily exercise.

Goldens have long beautiful hair however,They do not require extensive grooming, brushing once or twice a week is sufficient. Nail trimming and hair trimming(if needed) can be done monthly.they tend to shed their thick coat once to twice a year, daily brushing should be done during those times. Grooming can easily be done at home by you or a professional if you choose.

Goldens colors range from English cream to your natural, to the rarer dark red. An average male Golden can weigh between 65-75 lbs. While an average female Golden can weigh between 55 and 65 lbs. The average life expectancy of a Golden is 10-12 years. While overall Goldens are generally healthy some common health issues can be heart disease, hip dysplasia, and eye conditions.
